What do I need to do?
First and foremost, you must register your personal computer. Please fill out a "Request for Personal Laptop Use on District Network", form number 9709.51. Your site administrator can order this form from the Print Shop. Please refer to the 'How to Get Started" section of our Network Access Control information page for more details.

How do I turn on Microsoft Windows Automatic Update?

When I run Windows Update Services, I get a message stating that the product key used to install Windows is invalid. Why?
Windows Update will fail if your Windows Operating System is not properly licensed. You must have a legal copy of the operating system to connect to the District network. Please contact Microsoft or your PC manufacturer with questions.
